This is a showcase of the art of Jane Lewis available in print, featuring original limited edition prints, books, and a range of postcards and reproductions.

Jane is a painter and printmaker with an established and growing reputation. During a career spanning more than 35 years she has worked in watercolour, etching, most drawing media, pastel, digital media and constantly in oil on canvas. Her compositions are not directly inspired by dreams, but they are a kind of waking dream. The pictures are a narrative of visual, musical and personal obsessions. There are various elements that occur regularly: masks for example, cats, still lifes of fruit or geometrical shapes, pieces of classical sculpture, wings and angels, tattoos.

Working from observation and the imagination often involves the construction of props, making paper geometric shapes, or reinventing a mask. These creations may be combined with an assemblage of eclectic clothing, musical instruments, animals, mythical creatures and a variety of found or collected objects to further the narrative within a picture.
