Limited Edition Prints
Jane Lewis was awarded a grant by Arts Council England to develop digital image-making. Her digitally generated prints have been created using computer software which allows her to work intuitively and fluidly by drawing and painting directly on the computer screen via the mouse or a graphics tablet, and to use a scanner to import other elements such as textures. Each completed image is professionally printed with archive quality ink on acid-free paper as a limited edition of one hundred prints. Digital technology has revolutionized the creation of fine art prints and printmaking, and working this way is as demanding and sophisticated as other artistic media - Jane's digital images have a quality both unique to digital art and yet recognizably of her oeuvre. The images are original and do not exist in any other form.

MASKED ANGEL

This is influenced by a love of ancient art, in this instance the carvings of Italy and England. Jane often depicts angels and uses masks in her pictures, which serve both to conceal identities and to reveal character and meaning.
